Talbot Talks Sports: Might the Jets be acting a little hypocritical ?
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2011/01/might-jets-be-acting-little.html
Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Might the Jets be acting a little hypocritical? When asked by the Daily News if he's ever seen Brady pointing after the Patriots score, Cromartie responded saying, "We see that a lot. He does it a lot. That's the kind of guy he is.". If only Brady were more like the kind of guy Antonio Cromartie is. The kind of guy that has fathered nine kids over eight states with six women. When asked what kind of guy Tom Brady is, Cromartie said, "An ass- - . F- - him.". These are the kind...

Talbot Talks Sports: Take Your Pick...
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2009/01/take-your-pick_08.html
Thursday, January 8, 2009. You just can't. Even so, here's my attempt to explain what's going to happen this week. Sport betting odds. Aside, here are some games I'd be willing to do some online sport betting. Tennessee's got experience at quarterback, a stellar tandem in the backfield, and a fierce defense. Not to mention, they've got an electric home crowd on their side. So who am I taking? Arizona 24 - Carolina 31. Philadelphia 17 - Giants 23. San Diego 13 - Pittsburgh 15. Be in your favor. Are You Re...

Talbot Talks Sports: Are You Ready For Some Football?
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2010/09/are-you-ready-for-some-football.html
Thursday, September 9, 2010. Are You Ready For Some Football? I ended last season incorrectly predicting the last seven NFL games. That's a near impossible task. Was I betting on the spread? A steady dose of espn.com. Because this blog is so good even I have to read it and freshen up on my sports knowledge), and barstoolsports.com. Not so much for sports, but for videos like the one below). You honestly thought Favre would retire? Well Brett, you got what you wanted. For a day or two, people cared ab...

Talbot Talks Sports: Playoff Pickoff's Super Finish...
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2011/02/playoff-pickoffs-super-finish.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. Playoff Pickoff's Super Finish. Since this will be my last post for a while, I've decided to enlighten you with just my pick. So this is a pretty big decision. One I don't want to get wrong. Because my roommate was dumb enough to bet me $20 straight-up that the Cardinals would win. Anyways, I won my $20 thanks to Santonio Holmes (a man I now hate), who caught the game-winning TD with seconds remaining. I have no idea). So the real question is: Will Rodgers play perfect (which ...

Talbot Talks Sports: June 2011
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. This is my nightmare! It's finally beginning to dawn on me. My NBA nightmare is looming. With two wins, the Miami Heat will represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. Man, would that suck. But unless the Bulls unexpectedly (and somehow legally) sign me in the next few days, there's nothing I can do to stop that from happening. It's in Chicago's hands. Hands I find less faith in with each passing game. In the closing minutes of Game 3, my buddy texted me: "Hunch: Rose is...

Talbot Talks Sports: Football Preview...
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2010/09/football-preview.html
Saturday, September 11, 2010. Alright so if everyone else gets to try the impossible, I figure, why can't I? Because the players in this game are so susceptible to injuries! No, we don't. I think what I'm trying to say is that it's impossible to predict the NFL. The only thing certain in the NFL is that the Lions will use their first round pick to draft a top wide-out each year. That's seriously the only thing. New England Patriots (11-5). New York Jets (9-7). If you want to win a Super Bowl, stop changi...

Talbot Talks Sports: Is this the hardest NCAA bracket of all-time?
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2011/03/is-this-hardest-ncaa-bracket-of-all.html
Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Is this the hardest NCAA bracket of all-time? I gave my bracket a first go Sunday night, and immediately hated it. It may be the worst I’ve ever filled out. I’m talking worse than my first bracket as a freshman in high school. I had Maryland winning it all that year. They won the first round on a buzzer-beating three. How's that for HD quality? It’s just not fair. Oh Kansas State could be a Final Four team? Well, Utah State “ believes that [they] will win. I think this year’...

Talbot Talks Sports: Soooo...this guy's pretty good at whiffleball.
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2011/01/soooothis-guys-pretty-good-at.html
Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Soooothis guy's pretty good at whiffleball. Back when I was 11, I learned how to throw a "riser" with a whiffleball. At that time, I was fairly confident I was the "Randy Johnson" of whiffleball. People my age didn't even know what fast-pitch whiffleball was at that point. But if they did, I'm pretty sure I would have been disqualified from playing at recess. It just wouldn't have been fair. My whiffleball pitching skills owe this guy's whiffleball pitching skills 20 bucks.

Talbot Talks Sports: Fantasy Draft Diaries...
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2009/08/fantasy-draft-diaries.html
Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Aside from my birthday, the best thing about August might just be fantasy football. That's right. It's draft season. And if you're a guy from age 16 to 59, odds are you know what I'm talking about. Now let me introduce you to the greatest fantasy league, I've ever come to know. Trung Candidate's Weekend BBQ features a core of 10 fantasy managers that together make up the stereotypical, yet ideal fantasy league. I'm Vinnie Massuci (Vinnie Massuci) -. KDUBS ALL STARS (K Dub) -.

Talbot Talks Sports: Draft Diary...
http://talbottalkssports.blogspot.com/2009/06/draft-diary.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. The other night, I was privileged enough to attend my first live NBA Draft. Taking a Bill Simmons approach to the experience, I decided to document my thoughts. I'm gonna keep it under 17,000 words though. 4:47 pm - All aboard the train to New York Penn Station. Air-conditioned - beautiful. I was worried I'd be sweating to death in my Dockers and button-down. I had been advised to dress nice, against my wishes. In case my girlfriend's aunt could take us into some VIP action. 7:33 p...
