We had been trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant for some years, and after going through a number of tests, we discovered that there was practically zero chance for us to become pregnant naturally. Over the next couple of years, we debated whether to try IVF but weren’t sure we could handle the heartache of it not working. Of course we said yes and then spent the next month not really believing it! There’s a perfect match out there for you and you will get there in the end.

Meet Jane and Amy. Being a parent is the most rewarding and most challenging thing I have ever done. The challenges melt away when I think about how rich my life has become with kids. Because we are a same-sex couple and neither one of us felt a need to give birth and because we knew there were many children waiting for forever families we chose adoption. I had a brother who was given up for adoption (and we’ve recently been reunited, with amazing results.) Ray once found a newborn on the side of a creek, who also went on to an adoptive family.
