From the Passenger Seat. Saturday, September 11, 2010. Our LA Gourmet Food Truck Scavenger Hunt! I'm about to start posting on our road trip to Washington and Utah, but here is a brief interruption on a small day trip we took to LA. The first time I heard about this kind of concept was from a winner of Top Chef who announced that he was going to spend his money serving food from a truck. At the time, it seemed like a lowbrow. Moment for a guy who had just won Top Chef! Who knew he was on to something big.

From the Passenger Seat. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Petersburg to Richmond: Going to the Flay Slayer. On the last leg of our trip we headed to Richmond, Va. On the way there we stopped in Petersburg. Get a map of Richmond or something. The town had an old feel to it and was a pleasant place. To relax. No wonder Jonathan decided he wanted to enjoy the atmosphere and have lunch there! Alright, what's the name of the place? I Don't know." I replied. What district is it located in? I don't know.". Jonathan...

From the Passenger Seat. Tuesday, October 9, 2007. The Place You'll Go! Oh, the Places You'll Go! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away! You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself. Any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go. You'll look up and down streets. Look 'em over with care. About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there.". And you may not find any.

From the Passenger Seat. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. I've been a Top Chef fan for sometime now. It's probably my favorite show on TV these days; if it wasn't for this show I would have probably dropped my Satellite along time ago. Suffice it to say, I was very excited to try Tom Colicchio's sandwich shop 'wichcraft,. Which is a play on names after his very successful Craft restaurants as well as a more affordable shop for us "regulars" to enjoy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We found a UFO! Siegfei...

From the Passenger Seat. Tuesday, September 25, 2007. I know that I just posted a blog on my trip to the LA Fair on my other site and probably have no business posting something here since it's not really a offbeat-travel-location (though it took me about 45 minutes to get there), but there were a couple whacky side shows we check out while we were there. The first was the smallest horse in the world! Then I went in and checked out the worlds largest Steer. Now though I've grown up in cow country, I ...

From the Passenger Seat. Monday, May 19, 2008. This post is suppose to be silly and to make light of serious tragedies that happen all the time. I knew it was bad taste at the time I took the pictures and the bad taste still hasn't settled now, but I thought I would post it anyways. I hope know one is too offended. Faith's Bear was lonely and depressed when I drag him away to San Francisco! Making the call for Help. This is the end. Links to this post. Sunday, May 18, 2008. I want my girls to get Truck d...
