http://faerygoddessmama.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. A birth story at last. The birth of River Griffin. Ok, so, where do I start? With the long awaited conception? Almost 18 months of trying to conceive, we had started to believe it wasn’t going to happen. I had been dreaming of a homebirth for quite some time, when would it happen? Finally, get back from holidays, January 2010, I’m pregnant! Do I start with the difficult pregnancy? At home, mum and I are pottering around the house, cooking and cleaning, we’re convinced b...

The Woods Den: Our new Night Rainbow Girasol
http://faerygoddessmama.blogspot.com/2011/11/our-new-night-rainbow-girasol.html
Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Our new Night Rainbow Girasol. This came in the mail last week. It's a size 6 (4.6m) Girasol woven wrap called Night Rainbow.. I've been lusting after one since May, when the lovely Brie from Tinoki came and demo'd some different baby carriers at our Maternity Coalition meet. I asked a few times on a Facebook babywearing buy/swap/sell group for one, a size 2 came up, but no, too short. The other week i asked again, and wouldn't you know it? My fucking rainbow Girasol is here!

The Woods Den: One wet Winters day...
http://faerygoddessmama.blogspot.com/2011/10/one-wet-winters-day.html
Sunday, October 9, 2011. One wet Winters day. So, one miserable and rainy day, I had a little 4 year old who was driving me insane and needed to get out of the house. Fine. I grabbed our coats and gumboots and off we went to Ballam Park. Due to the rain, the park was deserted, we had the place to ourselves. Might become 'our thing' to go to the park in the rain, it was awesome. Loki was able to play freely. While River giggled away in the pram. We made some very cool discoveries. And here they are now.

The Woods Den: River's Placenta Burial Ceremony
http://faerygoddessmama.blogspot.com/2011/10/rivers-placenta-burial-ceremony.html
Friday, October 21, 2011. River's Placenta Burial Ceremony. For River's 1st Birthday, we finally buried his placenta. I decided an orange tree was appropriate as I craved oranges while pregnant. Hole dug, orange tree and placenta ready. Cuddles with Dad, while I place the placenta in the hole. I then read this blessing that I wrote. May you grow strong, my son. May your roots wind their way into, and become one with the Earth,. So that that you may stay grounded, my son. River checks out his tree. I'm a ...
