http://einselstonehouse.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. And below is my other current project, it shows three (of an eventual eleven) rows for a scrap quilt I've been wanting to make for a while now. I added the fourth row tonight. There's something about piecing a quilt that's just perfect for chilly winter evenings! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At home in our 1840's stone farmhouse. The Einsel House: April 2012
http://einselstonehouse.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 2, 2012. For the past few weeks I've been anxiously watching the weekend weather forecasts, fingers crossed for good weather. I've got multiple projects started and more that I'm itching to start. But a few days ago Charles politely suggested that perhaps I should finish a current project (or three) before I take on anything new. He's probably right - if because if there's such a thing as DIY-ADHD than I've definitely got it. The window itself was salvageable and is currently resting in my ...

The Einsel House: Kitchen Update
http://einselstonehouse.blogspot.com/2014/07/kitchen-update.html
Saturday, July 19, 2014. I took advantage of a tidy kitchen today to snap some photos so I could update anyone who happens to stumble by my poor neglected blog. As a (weak) excuse for the lack of posts here, I admit that a full year passed between the first builders grade oak cupboard door coming down and the last white-painted cupboard door being rehung. So, for a quick review, here's the kitchen in 2009:. July 21, 2014 at 3:53 PM. The faucet is just perfect for the era of the house! This Old Crack House.

The Einsel House: December 2011
http://einselstonehouse.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 15, 2011. A couple of blanket chests sell the same day, and I can just see one setting in front of our couch, holding the blankets that for now are just stacked on the floor. And only about 10 miles from us! I called the phone number listed and arranged to look at the piece after work yesterday. Charles could tell how excited I was about the cupboard and told me if it was what I wanted to go ahead and get it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). At home in our 1840's stone farmhouse.

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. A glance back at the house from the end of the drive. 02 miles - a brief stop to visit a few graves in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery, including Elder Lewis Seitz who married the Einsel House's first owners, Noah and Rebecca Rhinehart (he was also Rebecca's uncle). 04 miles - peeking out behind those pine trees is another 1840's stone house. 08 miles - the setting sun shining through cloud. 11 miles - crossing Silver Creek, site of the first mill in this township. 37 miles - a l...

The Einsel House: July 2012
http://einselstonehouse.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The Good Old Summertime. The last few days have been classic summer. On Sunday we had a family reunion and then I took the kids on the local preservation society's annual garden tour. I thought the kids' patience would last through maybe four or so gardens, but they wanted to see all eight. I've got some great kids! Then for supper last night I enjoyed a big plate of sauted zucchini, red onion and tomato with some lemon pepper seasoning. Mmmmm! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
