In the Constitution of the United States, not as an abstraction to be cited at our convenience but as a real document that guarantees literal rights for citizens of the United States and delineates real proscriptions on the role of government, particularly the federal government. That as a consequence we have strayed from the principles and precepts of the Constitution resulting in most of the problems now facing the country.
In the wake of the September 11 attacks, New Yorkers from all walks of life felt compelled to overcome their sense of powerlessness by volunteering to help out in the recovery effort.
