I’ll be stuck in Kuwait for 15 days or so before I fly home, but at least no one is shooting at you there, and I’ll be able to catch up with my troops I left down there when I moved to Baghdad. Things were really busy at Camp Buehring, but now I’m down at Ali Al Salem and my schedule has normalized. Anyhow here are some pix from when I was at Buehring that I meant to post ages ago:. The great thing about Ali al Salem is you can tell if it is warm outside because the cesspools warm up and the smell that will forever make me think of Kuwait permeates everything. Here are a couple of pictures from my front stoop:. I have the smoke shack right out front. The cigarette smoke really adds to the aroma of the cesspools. Note the fancy gravel "sidewalks":.
