History of an Idea: Missing Data. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Judea Pearl and Causality. Ontology Matching Book →. Missing Data and Causal Chains. September 7, 2007. One of my colleagues today suggested an interesting way of looking at the problem of missing data. He referred back to a lot of work on process modeling, where people in essence try to “reverse engineer” existing business processes. More broadly, steps in a process or information that is gathered are part of some causal chain. You are...

Will Profiles Ever Be Obsolete? – Retrieve and Herd

Dean Dietrich's Reflections on Data, Development, Education, Research, and More. Will Profiles Ever Be Obsolete? July 23, 2015. August 10, 2015. This seemed like a revolutionary idea to me, one that could potentially change the focus of my work. If I could work in a manner more akin to that she had described, then I could spent less time writing profiles and more time thinking about ways to identify prospects and to keep more prospect information up to date. I was able to find more efficient ways of work...

Data Mining in MATLAB. Exploring data mining using MATLAB (and sometimes MATLAB Toolboxes). Friday, February 26, 2010. Real-world data sets usually exhibit relationships among their variables. These relationships are often linear, or at least approximately so, making them amenable to common analysis techniques. One such technique is principal component analysis. PCA"), which rotates the original data to new coordinates, making the data as "flat" as possible. Performing Principal Components Analysis.

Dean Dietrich's Reflections on Data, Development, Education, Research, and More. Author: Dean F. Dietrich. What’s Life Like in Nevada? 19 may. 2015. Importing spectra from "R" into Win ISI. I wanted to import the Gasoline spectra from the PLS package into Win ISI, so the first thing I have done was to export the Gasoline spectra to a TXT file:. Writetable(gasoline$NIR,"c:/gasoline3.txt",sep=" t"). And after that I use the tool Convert from Win ISI to convert the TXT file into a NIR file. It was not so easy, and I have to organize a little bit the TXT file. Enviar por correo electrónico. Etiquetas: Learning Win ISI. Search in this Blog.
