The mix of the yarn is mohair and silk and the weight makes it sit nicely on my shoulders. A lovely shawl which I wear a lot. 8220;Even with eyes protected by the green spectacles, Dorothy and her friends were at first dazzled by the brilliance of the wonderful city.”. January 26, 2014. No place like home. Knit, sew, garden create. Poppies that what we’ll do. Red as the field of poppies, when I saw this fab yarn I knew I had to have it. Posh Betsy DK is such a lovely yarn to knit with, it slides through your fingers. I slightly adapted Thea Colman’s Cape Cod and did three quarter sleeves instead of full. May 5, 2014. Ruby Slippers | No place like home
https://theresnoplace.wordpress.com/2014/05/05/ruby-slippers
No place like home. Knit, sew, garden create. Well everyone needs a pair or two. I am still cursing the day I walked away from the most beautiful Ruby Slippers I have ever seen. I have searched high and low for a pair of these shoes seen and tried on in Russell and Bromley of all places. Still I now have a pair of something even better – Ruby Slipper socks. Comfy and for wearing around the house when I get home from work and I am home. May 5, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Thursday, July 21, 2011. I am a Farmer's Wife. So just to warn you if your reading this, that this post will be a marathon, and because we are hitting close to 50 degrees here in sunny Toronto, I may also ramble a bit. Blame it on the heat. I can really see the progress from block to block as I have become more comfortable with the templates. So, one of my many flaws is, when I decide to do something I go all out and within the first week I had made about 6 blocks! Week two", blocks #83 and #105. Pheww, ...

Thursday, February 17, 2011. Peanut butter cookies and warmer days. This last few weeks I have come to a few realizations. This blog thing is supposed to be fun, and is not supposed to make me feel sad. So that means NO more pressure to do posts on a frequent/regular basis. To make them when I want and fill them with happy wandering thoughts. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup white sugar. 1/2 cup peanut butter. 1 1/2 cups flour. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Since James loves peanut butter and chocolate together I tri...

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Well so as not to make this post a complete downer, I will just say that it's an anniversary that isn't one to celebrate. To go a bit further down this sad path, it was two years ago today that we said goodbye to the matriarch of the Morrison Clan. "Nanny" to me, Mom, sister.Theresa. 2 cups raisins (old dry ones are good for this). 1/2 cup shortening (I used veggie oil). 2 cups boiling water or tea (I used my fave British tea). Boil above 10 minutes, take off and add,.
