Saturday, April 25, 2015. Tars support Tavistock Music and Arts Festival. Once again, the Tavy Tars held a 'Tars and Friends' evening at the Tavy Club on 23 April. The audience participated enthusiastically and even more CDs were sold. Roger Smith joined the Tars for a few songs as well as doing an very entertaining set on his own. August was a great day as we made our second voyage on the “Scillonian” from Penzance to St Marys and back, compliments of Isles of Scilly Travel. But we were all well enough when ashore in St Marys to go and visit our friends in the Seasalt Shop and entertain their customers, who looked much happier than the passengers on the “Scillonian”. The sun shone in Millbay Marina as most of the Tavy Tars climbed aboard the Severn Class lifeboat, 'Sybil Mullen Glover' for a photo shoot. The Tars had previously arranged for 50% of the sales receipts for their latest CD, 'Take Me in Your Lifeboat' to be donated to the RNLI and also a proportion of fees received for greeting cruise ships in Plymouth. 17-18/6 Falmouth ...
