Three and a half months after the initial surgery, the surgeon rebuilt my stomach out of the remnants of my old stomach and the top of my small intestine and then reattached my digestive organs. I was off my feet again for about a week and lost most of the strength I’d regained. I spent two more weeks in the intensive care rehab hospital, back on the ventilator. Who I am Now.
