Thursday, July 31, 2014. We woke up, packed, and headed to Arlington Cemetery. We took a tram tour of the cemetery, and believe me, the excitement was building to get back home! At the end of the tour when we headed back to the Visitor's Center, we heard a loud pop that sounded like almost like a gun shot. As it turns out, a tire had popped! We laughed as we waited for another tram to come and get us. Finally, we decided just to walk as were too ready to hit the road! The soldiers at Arlington Cemetery.

Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Surgery, Recovery, and Life. During this time, we also have celebrated three of the kids' birthdays! Trey turned 18, Jonathan turned 15, and Elizabeth turned 6. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. College, Hip, and Other Big Life Decisions. Even though this blog has been pretty silent the last few months, our life has not! I have had blog posts floating in my head (as they often do), but in the busy-ness of life, the posts just do not quite make it out! This was not an easy decision, but as I said, one in which we truly feel a peace. The surgeon performing the surgery put in 200 new hips last year! Trey and his friend seemed as excited to see him as he was to see them!

Sunday, July 20, 2014. After a long, full day in NYC, we drove and arrived late once again in Pennsylvania. The next morning, after sleeping in a bit, we drove to Nazareth, PA to the Martin Guitar Factory Museum. Talk about some beautiful guitars and some cool music history! Gabe and I had the kids class this morning at church, it was sad that we weren't able to worship with our church body but nothing beats a group of 2-3 year old's yelling "HE IS RISEN! Friday, February 7, 2014. Finnegan's first trip to the dentist. Finnegan was pretty excited about going to the dentist to get her first cleaning but I was a little worried that she wouldn't be able to keep her mouth open that long without talking! Of course they made it very fun for her and she was a champ. We have been playing "dentist" every day since. They gave her some sunglasses because of the bright light;). She is trying to watch the cartoon they put on for her. Showing off those pearly whites!
