Prairie Reflections: Florida 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016/12/florida-2016_30.html
Life in western North Dakota. Friday, December 30, 2016. We would both go back in a heartbeat. We flew into Tampa and then drove to the Clearwater Beach area. The resort we stayed at wasn't right on the main beach, which turned out to be totally fine with me. We had our own private beach so there weren't so many, many people there. We never did go swimming in the pool, mainly because there were always tons of kids in the pool and it was a rather small pool! We did hang out on the chairs/loungers around t...

Life in western North Dakota. A few things I would like to do before the year 2090. I will be adding to this list, every year, as I think of things so it is definitely a work in progress! Go on a cruise. Live on a farm with Aaron. Snowmobile in the mountains. Find something meaningful to collect. Terry Redlin's Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies. Comfortably do a collected lope on Tobey. Sight See Charleston, SC and take in all the historical sights. Do a photo challenge and keep at it for 52 weeks.

Prairie Reflections: October 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
Life in western North Dakota. Saturday, October 15, 2016. While there's still a few leaves left on the trees, I wanted to get our Christmas photo taken. I texted our neighbor this morning to see if she'd be up for snapping a few of us, she met us over at our park, and within 10 minutes we were done! Per Aaron's request - he's not real fond of picture taking! Photo shoots with Ruger are always interesting.but he did sit/stand fairly well for them! This is us - October 2016. Sunday, October 2, 2016.

Prairie Reflections: May 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Life in western North Dakota. Friday, May 27, 2016. Start of summer vacation 2016. I've realized it's not the fact that I can sleep in until 10 o'clock; but rather, what I enjoy most about summer vacation is the fact that I can wake up at normal time but then not have to get dressed and hustle around in the morning to leave by 7:30am. I can enjoy breakfast, I can read, I can blog browse. Also, a bunch of the streets were blocked off by the mall for Donald Trump, who was speaking at the civic center.

Prairie Reflections: April 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
Life in western North Dakota. Saturday, April 23, 2016. This morning Elizabeth and I hiked the trails at the Knife River Indian Villages. I didn't realize the miles of trails they had there! I think this will be a staple walking place this summer with Ruger. Friday, April 22, 2016. Today was spent at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Besides the wind, it was a beautiful day! The herds of buffalo, wild horses, and views did not disappoint! Saturday, April 16, 2016. Labels: Nothing in particular. Saturday,...

Life in western North Dakota. Saturday, August 20, 2016. Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park - August 2016. Camping at Sully Creek. Hiking the Maah Daah Hey. Little Missouri river crossing. 70 degrees, slight breeze. Friday, August 19, 2016. MT/WY trip summer 2016. Aaron and I decided to squeeze in one last trip before my school starts.hard to believe summer is done! And Aaron got a lap full of water, thanks to Bridger's overzealous attempts to grab his bottle! We then went and saw the old ghost town/mining to...

Prairie Reflections: 1st snow day of 2016/2017
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016/11/1st-snow-day-of-20162017.html
Life in western North Dakota. Monday, November 28, 2016. 1st snow day of 2016/2017. Last night I went to bed, hoping, but kind of not hoping, for a snow day. These days between Thanksgiving and Christmas are so fun. I'd rather use a snow day in January or February when the days can get so. long. I got a call this morning around 6am saying school was two hours late. That's not bad, at least we won't use up a snow day. Another "thank goodness" for having a vehicle with all wheel drive. Kindergarten teacher...

Prairie Reflections: June 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Life in western North Dakota. Monday, June 27, 2016. It was a lot of little things. How much I was huffing and puffing on my AZ/NV/UT trip. My clothes feel tight and I feel like I look bumpy and lumpy when I look in the mirror. I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I hear myself saying, "ah, not a good picture." more and more because I don't like what I look like in pictures. Monday, June 13, 2016. Day four and five of our south western road trip. Cars are only allowed so far into the park, so we parked and t...

Prairie Reflections: July 2016
http://prairie-reflections.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Life in western North Dakota. Saturday, July 23, 2016. I was going to get up and mow this morning (we're at my in-laws), but as we were eating breakfast, it started to rain and thunder so.I guess I will do this instead. It's kind of cozy updating while a morning storm occurs outside! This last week found me in south eastern North Dakota for a day and then at the lake for a day. So a quick, quick trip but a heart-filling trip! After our ride, Will came out and took our picture. Thanks, Will! And then this...
