1939 : Born in Abnoub al Hammam, Assiout, Upper Egypt. 1956 – 1961 : He studied Graphic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo, Egypt. 1960 – 1962 : He trained at the Institute of Coptic Arts, Cairo (became acquainted with renowned Egyptian artists and architects, such as Habib Gorgy, Ragheb Ayad, Wissa Wassef). 1961- 1963 : He participated in important exhibitions, such the Spring Salon and the Alexandria Biennale. 1973- 1978 : He taught at Strasbourg University (Faculty of Fine Art).
