The Adopted Life

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Day 135 - 06 July 2011. I guess what I really want to get out of writing this, is to stress that life is precious. I know that now. Seeing sad events in movies can't compare to real life. You really don't realize how much of an impact death has until something like this happens. I also hope that people read this and drive more carefully! No more unnecessary death. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Monday - 30 May 2011. Guess we'll just have to wait for Kung-Fu Panda 3. The Adopted Life: 04.2011

http://adoptedlife.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. I love Michael "Lohnzie" L. He's the coolest. He's easily in my top 5 male-friends. Ladies, please date him. Monday, April 18, 2011. Day 57 - 19 April 2011 - Tuesday. I'm sure I wasn't the first person to think of this idea either, but somewhere lost deep in my basement is a journal with this short story, written years before Slumdog. In my crappy handwriting. The second story, was embodied in the final season of LOST. What if I was still in Korea? Thursday, April 14, 2011.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. The Overly Negative Person that I Am. If I ever use larger, generalizing terms, I'm really referring to the bad people within that group. I find that people have become overly sensitive to this subject, and that it's a common cop-out to not have to discuss racism. Are we welcome, or are you kicking us out too? I'm sure of it. But when I explain this story to people, for the sake of conversation, time and not being to anally detailed, I'm going to simplify by saying, KSA scr...

http://adoptedlife.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 27, 2011. Day 34 - Sunday 27 March 2011. So apparently, Korea thinks I'm gay… Actually to be a little more specific, not necessarily gay (although those words have been used) but rather feminine. There have been enough random conversations where my feminineness has been brought up, that I think it is an appropriate time for gender-bending and homosexuality to get it's own post. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese and Koreans. Wednesday - 23 March 2011. Of all the forms of...

Monday, May 30, 2011. Sunday - 08 May 2011. I love soccer. All my life. I love American football too, but nothing compared to the greatness of soccer. Ever since I began following the international game, all the different leagues around the world, along with the major international tournaments, I have always been jealous of Brasil. I guess you could add the big European powerhouses of. Sorry for the long wait. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Day 69 - Sunday - 01 May 2011. I know there are a million and one differin...

Every Scar is a Bridge: May 2006

http://everyscarisabridge.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Monday, May 22, 2006. When I started writing this post, it was just going to be a "I'm still here, still waiting" post. But right in the middle of writing it, who should give me a call? The lady from the courthouse =) This is how out of touch I am right now - when I saw the number from Erie on my caller ID, it didn't even occur to me that it was related to the adoption search. I just let it go to voicemail. She also told me ...

Every Scar is a Bridge: April 2006

http://everyscarisabridge.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html

Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Friday, April 07, 2006. I finally got a phone call from the lady at the courthouse today. I left her a message about a week ago and she never called me back, which is fine. She seems like a horribly overworked person, so I hate to put pressure on her by constantly calling. When I talked to her today, she seemed like she didn't even remember talking to me previously - she reintroduced herself to me. View my complete profile.

Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Saturday, February 25, 2006. So did anyone else watch the Darryl McDaniels (one of the guys from Run-DMC) adoption story on VH1 tonight? If you missed it, it comes on a few more times this weekend. Check it out here. Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Monday, January 30, 2006. A Letter in the Mailbox, A Story in my Head. Getting the mail and answering long distance phone calls have now become the highlight of my days. An "unavailable", "anonymous" or even an unrecognized phone number give me an adrenaline rush. Checking the mail after work has taken on a new meaning. Today, I actually wasn't. We got your money and called your mom and she doesn't want to talk to you. I suc...

Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Sunday, March 26, 2006. You are your stories. You are the product of all the stories you have heard and lived - and of many you have never heard. They have shaped how you see yourself, the world and your place in it. http://everyscarisabridge.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Every Scar is a Bridge. A blog about being adopted. A journey of self-discovery. Saturday, October 27, 2007. My letter from S arrived today. Honestly, I really haven't had much anxiety about it. Haven't been watching for the mailman or running out to get the mail or anything like that. After waiting almost 2 years to hear anything since I started the process of trying to contact her, I had learned this wasn't a process to rush. Ok, weirdest thing in the whole letter: the doctor told her I had a slight cl...

In my Seoul

I have changed the basis of this blog. It will continue to have some mix ramblings. I think I will try to focus on Korean Food, Music, Movies, and Dramas (TV shows). Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Trying this out again. Most people who used to read my blog or followed probably have moved on since its been over two years since my last post. A lot has happened since my last post and I will try to catch up in this article, but I think I have enough material to write again. More on that in a separate article!

Is it just me, or is the view of Asian-America completely skewed? I hear a lot of African American's piss and moan about how the media has inaccurately potrayed their culture, but it's hard to find an Asian in Hollywood that's not either a complete tool or a martial artist. Does this bother anyone else? I have a question towards all other Koreans and their knees. Is it just me or is this a common trait? I had a few people point it out to me that my knees are weird and I was curious about it ever since.
