Growing our family through adoption, and other adventures as a military family. Blog Background from cutest blog on the block. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Holden got a new scooter yesterday, and he is absolutely loving it! Putting together the scooter was also this Mama's first time at playing Handyman with Chris away. Success on both fronts! Here's Holden having a blast on his scooter. Here's what Holden does when he wipes out. He's tough. Tougher than most kids I know. He has never cried more than 5 minu...

Growing our family through adoption, and other adventures as a military family. Blog Background from cutest blog on the block. Monday, April 22, 2013. 10 Days Home with Holden. Today marks our tenth day at home with Holden, and, to be perfectly honest, this whole parenthood/adoption thing, has been:. And now I prepare to duck under a table while moms everywhere, both adoptive and not, hurl pureed food and vomit-soaked clothing at me). Much EASIER than I expected. Right along with us when he does somethin...

Growing our family through adoption, and other adventures as a military family. Blog Background from cutest blog on the block. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Happy Birthday, Holden! Today (October 26th) in India our darling boy turns two years old. We are thrilled to celebrate his life and everything that he is! We are really heartbroken that we cannot be in India to celebrate with him. What kind of mother can't express to her son how valued, precious, and irreplaceable he is? To hold those little hands.

Aren't moms the best? But I digress (what? Last week, Holden's toddler blanket arrived in the mail! If you're a fan of such things, I still like you. I'm sure you're a wonderful person. I just don't like your decorating style. I'm not going to punch you in the face over it, I'll just punch you in my head. ...Knowing that ...

The needed paradigm shift and, a timely. One, with three littles needing attention. A few things have occupied that precious commodity of time in these last few weeks. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Once upon a time I was intentionally writing down our kids' quotes. Here lately I've been storing them in my mind but that's a dangerous place for anything these days. The few I can remember are still there because they were just that, memorable. Mr Personality has taken the lead in quotes and I've found myself saying things to him I never imagined I'd have to say. Levi, quit eating raisins with your toes. Please put the booger in the napkin. How many weggies, Mom? Lerah speak...

http://tegencentral.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 26, 2014. It's been a while since we've updated with details about the kids. Truth is that life is so interesting and full there isn't a lot of time to sit and write long posts about it all, but here's a little glimpse into a few of the latest milestones. So many things Reshma has been experiencing are firsts from what we can tell. Like hiking to waterfalls, roller skating and swimming lessons. He even inched up uncomfortably close (for this mama) to a black snack and watched it with wonder.

Tegen Central: Six: The Synopsis

http://tegencentral.blogspot.com/2015/02/six-synopsis.html

Sunday, February 8, 2015. Kids can keep you laughing. A few of my favorite quotes from the week:. When going in finding one cleaning the floor with a hand towel the kid admitted sheepishly, "I for-dot to aim my wee wee.". Play dough time during supper prep. Notice the two-year-old is missing- never a good thing! Lots of muffin experts. Exploring and leaf boats. Makin it happen. Exercise with five! First trip eating at our school's cafeteria. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Love, Joy, Shingles and 37 Weeks. We are alive and home again after a weekend away. Tiny Tegen #3 is still cozy with no sign at 37 weeks of any early surprises which in our opinion is somewhat unfortunate. Lerah- (rhymes with Sarah) from my maiden name. Joy- from Jason's mom's middle name and what we pray she epitomizes. Feeling better and ready for some fresh air with friends. Finally, on the way back home today we were able to see our favorite newlyweds and share cinnamon ro...

Sunday, July 27, 2014. Between shoveling gravel, a week of camps and an out-of-state trip, we've REALLY enjoyed this semi-quiet Saturday. A lot has happened in July with many things slowly getting crossed off our summer wish list. Here are a few of the favorites we actually captured. Swim at the lake. We were invited to visit friends who were staying at a. Cabin and had a blast relaxing, swimming and playing. Visit family in Alabama. Spend time at IKEA. Par for the course. The kids looked forward to this...

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. So whatever happened to that long, school update? Finally we can share all the good that's happened in the last week and a half. Levi, meanwhile, was excited for some one-on-one attention and really has loved playing with toys and getting to watch his daily episode of Paw Patrol. We did start Pre-K work in the mornings which has been going swimmingly. He even pulled a History book from the shelf this week and asked if we could read! Friday, August 15, 2014. Adventures in Jen's Kitchen

Monday, January 17, 2011. I had them as a side dish to the fantastic Asian chicken meatballs. Labels: veggies; side dish. To cook the squash, you just need to halve and clean them, put them face down in a casserole dish with a little water, and cook for 45 min or so at 450. In the time it takes to make the sauce (see here. For examples), the squash will be done. Take them out of the oven and scrape with a fork, and voila! This is a smash hit in my house, even with the kiddo. He can't get enough. I like t...

News about what I'm up to at the moment. Friday, 17 September 2010. Triple bad blogger update - on tenterhooks. Apparently you're meant to update your blog every week if you want people to read it. Woops. However I reckon now is a good time to update because I've got some free time.I'll come to that in a bit :). The reason I've got a bit of free time as opposed to infinite free time and a job search is because, almost incredibly, I've found a job! Wednesday, 9 December 2009. Friday, 27 November 2009.

The joys of mommyhood. The fine print [in big letters]. Joy started a Waldorf pre-school program October 1st. these are photos from the morning before her first day. Born July 31, 2013. We had play date at the park today – Joy was all smiles :). Although there was a ton of equipment for her to play on, she was happiest playing in the wood chips and dirt. Ya gotta love the simplicity of children. Lets show that we care about ourselves, we are not ignorant and we will not accept less that superb food.
