Oatmeal Toffee Bars | Adventures with the Woods
https://adventureswiththewoods.wordpress.com/2009/10/03/oatmeal-toffee-bars
Adventures with the Woods. Fun, food, and other random crap. I bought a bag of Heath Bits ‘o Brickle Toffee Bits a while back because I. Heath Bars and figured I could find some delicious concoction to use them in. I searched the Hershey’s Kitchens. Website and found a recipe for these bars. Of course, I couldn’t leave well enough alone and added a 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips to the batter. You can’t have toffee without chocolate in my estimation! 1 c (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened. Bake 25...

Roasted Vegetables with Israeli Couscous | Adventures with the Woods
https://adventureswiththewoods.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/roasted-vegetables-with-israeli-couscous
Adventures with the Woods. Fun, food, and other random crap. Roasted Vegetables with Israeli Couscous. Recipe I found on epicurious.com. It all turned out quite well! I served the vegetables over the couscous and garnished it with some fresh parsley and shredded parmesan cheese. I think some goat cheese would also work well with this. I’ll give that a try the next time I make it. Roasted Vegetables with Israeli Couscous. 1 butternut squash, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces. 2 T chopped sage leaves.

Foodie with Little Thyme!: September 2009
http://foodiewithlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Foodie with Little Thyme! Monday, September 28, 2009. I’m finally back. Still nursing a slight headache but the Barefoot Bloggers recipe that I missed is helping me get back on track. You know chocolate therapy! This last recipe of the month was picked by Mary of Passionate Perseverance. Mary chose Beatty’s Chocolate Cake. Which can be found in Barefoot Contessa. At Home or at the bottom of this post. This cake is out of this world. It will now be my go to chocolate cake recipe. 3/4 cups good cocoa powder.
A Southern Grace: birthdays and broiled bliss
http://asoutherngrace.blogspot.com/2009/04/birthdays-and-broiled-bliss.html
April 17, 2009. Birthdays and broiled bliss. I don't know about you, but I like baking my own birthday cake. I can make exactly what I want exactly how I want it. This birthday was no exception. It seems like I crave a different cake every year. Last year, it was all about carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. This year, I went in a completely different direction- oatmeal cake with broiled coconut topping. Can we please talk about the pool of bubbly caramel goodness at the bottom there? 2 eggs, beaten.
A Butter World: Comfort Sundays I & Caramel Corn
http://abutterworld.blogspot.com/2009/01/comfort-sundays-caramel-corn.html
Sunday, January 4, 2009. Comfort Sundays I and Caramel Corn. I love January Sundays! The colder the better for me as I never leave the house (well it’s a goal…. sometimes life gets in the way). Not leaving the house on Sundays led to "Stock up Saturdays." Stocking up for me means what will I cook and will I read or watch movies? This Sunday is Movie Day! And being in dire need of comedy I pick up. With Cary Grant and. Obviously in a nostalgic mood. Which has nuts and cranberries; be still my heart! 1 cup...
Reuben Dip on Closet Cooking
http://www.closetcooking.com/2009/03/reuben-dip.html
Over the last week I had been enjoying the leftover corned beef. In the form of reuben sandwiches. I made sure to save one serving of the corned beef for the weekend because there was one more recipe that I wanted to try with it. I had come across a recipe for a reuben dip. A while ago and I just knew that I would have to make it. It has all of the great flavours of a reuben sandwich in the form of a dip! 1/2 cup cooked corned beef. 1/4 cup sauerkraut, squeezed and drained. 1/4 cup Swiss cheese, shredded.

Thursday, May 14, 2015. Today Cooper's class celebrated all of the summer birthdays with an ice cream sundae party.
