Why We Do It. We are an all-volunteer, tax-exempt US charity that befriends Afghan children and women through educational, environmental, and medical projects. And as volunteers pay all the expenses, 100% of donations go to our projects. We operate Women's Literacy and English classes in Afghanistan, provide solar-electric systems to remote clinics and villages, distribute medical supplies, plant trees, reach out to thousands of young Afghans, and lots more. Imagine what it means to a woman who has been denied an education, when a free literacy class starts up in her village! And for literate women, imagine what it means to be able to learn English. And then imagine what it means to their children. ACP currently operates literacy and English classes for women in cities and villages across Afghanistan.
