Plymouth Banjul Challenge 2007. Saturday, December 30, 2006. Journey 26th to 30th December Europe-Africa. The intention today is to travel to Fes, some 300 Kms first south to Rabat and then east to Fes, it should be motorway all the way to arrive by lunchtime. The Hotel Ibis was next to the train station; there we stayed the night with the car exposed to all comers as it was left on the road outside, protected however, by a night watchman. We used two guides, (or did they use us? Like a bad smell no soon...

Plymouth Banjul Challenge 2007. Friday, September 22, 2006. Sept - More Scurvy Maintenance. Before there were pipes and cables hanging. After fitting an old filing cupboard door to the soft underbelly, we are now ship shape - to a fashion! I thought you might like to see a picture of the "Scurv" in its natural habitat. Next on the agenda, injections for the drivers. Ouch! Posted by Tim Taylor and Carl Jenkins at 8:40 AM. Tim Taylor and Carl Jenkins. View my complete profile. Just Giving page for charity.

Plymouth Banjul Challenge 2007. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. Running on Veggie Oil. Amazing. Took off the fuel line to the governor and stuck it in a bottle of standard vegetable oil just bought from Sainsbury's and started the car up and it ran like a dream. It didn't even smell like a kebab shop! Also disconnected the return feed to the fuel tank just in case it caused problems. Off to find the address for Mazola. Plymouth Banjul Challenge 2007. Monday, January 22, 2007. Would you believe it, Steve Bill from COR-FS, choosing 7110 kilometers wins the Banjul Sweep Stake! Steve’s wining prize is a fashionable jelabas and turban as worn by the ScuryDog participants, who when so bedecked, received admiring glances and eulogizing comments such as nice jelabas! You think you are almost there, but you are not! The flight had to divert to the Canary Islands as there was no aviation fuel left in. And the plane was half empty.
