I which to thank Chuck Varney's website. 20th Combat Mapping Squadron. For providing the information below. The K17 was the most common camera used by the USAAF. Used in the vertical or oblique mode. 9 x 9 inches negative size. A magazine of 250 exposures was fitted. Focal length lens of 6", 12" and 24" could be fitted. The K-18 reconnaissance camera differed from the K-17 in construction. The K-18 body and lens cone were built as a single unit. Film format was 9" x 18". Lens: 24" focal length f/2.5.
