I went to say goodbye today and dropped in on Lulu, Queen of all she surveys, on the way. She danced a jig and I made a fuss of her. We may squeeze in one last visit tomorrow. Countdown to lift off. I went in at 7.30am to take a few bits and pieces. Later I will go again with a change of clothes. We are hoping for time off for good behaviour. July 29, 2014. July 29, 2014. Colorblind photographer at large. November 19, 2014. Just down the road we spotted a couple of Hooded Mergansers. These diving birds tend to be quite skittish. They swim away when they get nervous. Even when I get a clean view of these birds I find it challenging to get a good exposure that does not blow out the white cap of the male.
