Click image to enlarge. The structural steel elements in the Inertia Collection are made from reclaimed plumbing pipes and/or fittings. I love the aesthetic of 90 degree angles made from round pipe. When the 45 degree cut is capped, the cross-section is an oval; a shape that I prefer to the circle. This collection represents my uncontrollable energy and my inability to sit still. I'm a body in motion. Dimensions: 58" wide x 36.5" deep x 62.5" high.

With an emphasis on fantasy and futuristic innovation, Steampunk incorporates steam power components into Wild West settings symbolizing human potential. These pieces are constructed from iron steam fittings - often reclaimed, American, and vintage - combined with various species of live-edge wood, steel framed reclaimed timbers, cast cement, and/or glass. Dimensions: 38 wide x 38 deep x 20 high.

For this collection, I decided to move away from live edge wood and plumbing components to experiment with finished edge lumber and square stock steel. By using only these two opposing materials, my intention was to highlight the strong contrast between them. The concept was to use orthogonal patterns to create a clean, straightforward, modern aesthetic. Material: black walnut, brushed steel, solder.
