I'd Rather be Knitting: December 2007
http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Wednesday, 5 December 2007. Well, not quite chocolate but the same colour as the wrapper! I got this far before realising the pattern is wrong:. The stated number of stitches don't equate to the finished measurement they put on the pattern. It was coming out far too big, so I ripped the body back to the ribs and re-knitted the smaller size. (I couldn't face re-doing the ribs too). My new knit is Twist. Wednesday, December 05, 2007. I'd Rather be Knitting: Diary of a Rogue Hoodie
http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007/10/rogue-hoodie.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Saturday, 20 October 2007. Diary of a Rogue Hoodie. I've been dying to own one of these since I first saw the pattern. Definitely out of my league knitwise, but I still want one and I'm not going to let a load of wool beat me! I got the yarn ages ago from Wolle Hartmuth, it's Austermann Revue a pure merino aran weight and machine washable too. It's a turquoisey/teal kind of shade. What she fails to tell you is how the hell you do this. Why write...

Amber Purls (and Knits too): December 2009
http://amberpearl.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Amber Purls (and Knits too). Thursday, December 17, 2009. On the left above my DH June 1952 to August 2009. Sorely missed, there is a hole in my heart that will never heal. The suddenness of his death was such a huge shock to all, we are still trying to make some sense of it. I tried moving this photo but blogger is not cooperating today so I'll let it stay where it is. I'm looking at houses and have seen one that I am tempted to put an offer on, but it feels like a very big step. View my complete profile.

A quick and easy knit, finished just in time for last week's heatwave! Now on to the animal pics. ;0). This is Chance, a 3 year old GSD who came to l...

I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Monday, 30 April 2007. I've been merrily working away on the zip-along that Melody. Posted about on the forum. I used Sirdar pattern 8830 and used 3 x 100g balls of Sirdar Spree. I've never inserted a zip in my life and found Chicknits Zipper Tuturial. Here we go, all ready. Front edges basted together with waste yarn:. Zip pinned in position, needed a bit of 'tweaking' on the right sides to get it in the correct position:. Monday, April 30, 2007.

I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Wednesday, 30 January 2008. Hello Poor Neglected Blog! A belated Happy Christmas, New Year and Birthday (to me). The time has flown, I can't believe it's almost 2 months since my last post, it wasn't intentional either. I don't know why it's been so long, I guess Ravelry. Has something to do with it - upload a finished object and it's done, then spend the next 3 hours browsing the site! I've still been knitting like crazy, anyone want some ' knitty.

http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007/09/recent-knitterly-activity.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Sunday, 30 September 2007. I've been having a love/hate relationship with Zipperstop since they told me my zips, ordered in June weren't available unless I wanted 12 of each colour. After many emails across the pond, they refunded my money (all of it, despite me already receiving half of my order! I've been dying to get this one finished as it's been knitted since June:. This bodywarmer is knitted in Sirdar Denim Chunky, it's Sirdar pattern 8458.

I'd Rather be Knitting: March 2007
http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Friday, 30 March 2007. 2 Finished Objects in March. These were finished before Ivy hit the pins (she is 'otn' on her own, I promise! First up is a shawl-collared gilet in Sirdar Spree in Faded Denim from Kemps. Bought for £1.50, before they reduced it to just 69p a ball! I found the lovely buttons in my LYS. The owner has a strange sales technique and looked at me in amazement when I said I wanted 5."you want 5, they're 40p each? And finally, becaus...
