sarah clark: August 2010
http://sarahclarkma.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 2 August 2010. These prints (from the same screen of course) are from a drawing based on a friend's photo of her cat snoozing. i burned the image on to a screen using my Gocco printer, and then hand screen-printed them. happy how they turned out. I'm not so keen on this one. though i do like how the hair turned out. less so, the face. it is also from the same book of photos as the above print . this was just a practice but i'm not sure whether to pursue it and print it properly. Hello to all who ...

sarah clark: Experiment with flock
http://sarahclarkma.blogspot.com/2011/06/experiment-with-flock.html
Wednesday, 8 June 2011. An experiment from today with pigment and flock on to cotton. The colours are not too accurate in these images as the cotton is a much darker blue. I would have liked to print the heads using proceon dyes but wasn't able to due to the steamer being broken. So I settled with using pigment. The flock came out really well on the ferns. http://sarahclarkma.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 March 2011. And finally, a new drawing. i am thinking to team this with another previous drawing for printing, but that will take some more working out. i like how ernest she looks. Finally have been doing some full prints from the trials i have been doing. this is on calico which i think i prefer to the cotton. but i have also printed on the cotton now - images to follow! Next step is to start the stitching process. Sunday, 13 March 2011. Screen print on cotton. Tuesday, 8 March 2011.

studionumbersix: BACK BERLIN
http://studionumbersix.blogspot.com/2012/04/back-berlin.html
Saturday saw the 2012 Grand National at Aintree and the finish of our Back Berlin project. Alas, we had money on 'Weird Al' who ran an o.k. race, but fell at fence number 27 and was injured. Neptune Collognes won by a whisker, (the first grey to do so since 1961) in a thrilling race. Thanks Marjorie Hugh for the loan of this little three-piece indian puzzle as a visual aid. sarah clark: more hair landscapes
http://sarahclarkma.blogspot.com/2011/06/more-hair-landscapes.html
Thursday, 2 June 2011. At last I got round to taking photos of some other "hair landscapes" I had done a little while ago. I plan to carry on with them, I have just put them to one side at the moment as I concentrate on printing. I have just a week left at ECA so I need to make the most of it in the print room. These are mostly A1 in size and drawn with black ink. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Experiment with discharge printing. More ferns and faces. Ferns and Faces Pattern. View my complete profile.

sarah clark: February 2011
http://sarahclarkma.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, 27 February 2011. Not sure yet though. I was really pleased with this one though. and i like the way the character is almost feline too. this is something that could work using the ladies i drew before. a series of portraits. the ink works really well too to give the drawings a richness.
