For Artists
http://www.folkusalmonte.com/for_artists.html
Has a mandate to promote Canadian talent, with an emphasis on the local for opening acts. We are most interested in roots-based acts, but the definition of roots is broad as you can see from our past shows. Our concerts are held on 4 Saturday evenings through the winter months. The Ron Caron Auditorium (our venue) at the Almonte Old Town Hall has been used for CBC Radio 2 Classical concerts as well as The Vinyl Cafe. We are also able to provide a Steinway Concert Grand piano on request.

Rideau Lakes Prep – Kanata Lakes to Stewartville | redevelopment
http://www.stevegamble.com/2014/06/02/rideau-lakes-prep-kanata-lakes-to-stewartville
Rideau Lakes Prep – Kanata Lakes to Stewartville. June 2, 2014. As is starting to become a tradition, I took the final Monday before the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour off and went out for a long ride with my friend Earl. And is also sadly becoming a tradition, we had a long day fighting some stiff winds. We picked a Saturday OBC route that takes a long ride out through the countryside through Carp, Pakenham, Waba and Stewartville before returning via Arnprior, Galetta, Dirleton, Dunrobin, and South March.
