We've had snow twice this week and Friday night we actually had horrible driving conditions to deal with.Kevin and I went to a movie Friday night (saw SOUL SURFER and LOVED IT! But on the way home it was total ice and we were crawling all the way home.I know its bad out when Kevin is nervous.I was happy to get home and not have been in the ditch that night! Thursday, March 31, 2011. Kevin and I went on a road trip to Champaign, IL last weekend.we had so much fun! Lots of miles on the car but it was cool to head back to the exact place that Kevin and I met at 20 years ago.crazy huh? Kevin and I met at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL when we were both in the military and we got to go back to the area and see our first home, see where we used to work at, and where we used to drink at (the NCO club), and of course the places we used to eat at! Sunday, April 10, 2011. We had to get up and head to Eau Claire by 6am this morning (that's way too early for a Saturday morning! Katy had an ACT test this morning.while she did the test Kevin and I ran and did errands and then met Jim and Carol for breakfast at the Nucleus.then Kevin and I went and had tropical daquiris while we waited for Katy to be done. I know it was early but they were good! Once we got home I watched the movie Avatar.I hadn't seen it yet (if you can believe that) and I LOVED IT!

Katy was appointed to the National Honor Society and will be inducted on April 20th.she also was made Captain of the Dance Team for next year.and she got a new job at a nursing home and is using her CNA license.she's SO EXCITED! She's keeping her job at Culvers for now and going to see how she can juggle 2 jobs and school and ALL of her activities.YIKES! The girl has more energy than I do that's for sure! Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Animals on the Beach. The Pigs go to the beach on their own.The sheep and goats get taken there by farmers for a bath. They don't like it. IT is so much fun to watch. I also enjoy watching the people on the beach. I will try and put more pictures on soon. I hope to put together a slide show. That is so funny! I bet Jerri Sue will get a kick out of it. I love looking at the shops in the mall but the cost twice as much as the street vendors. So when I get ready to have a dress made I will have it done at a shop near me. I got this recipe from the Martha Stewart Magazine Everyday Food. 4 bone-in pork chops. 1 1/4 cups whole mil. 1 large egg, lightly beaten. 1 med white onion, sliced. 1 1/2 cups chicken or veg broth. 1 bunch kale, tough stems and ribs removed, leaves cut into pieces. Meal Plan for October 1-6. Smothered pork chops with cornbread. Almost Stuffed Bell Peppers. 1 cup chicken broth.
