Living In The Land Of Oz: July 2015
http://middleagedreflections.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. Absolute Must Read Short Story by Jo. Those of you who don't know Jo from All The Blue Day. Well shame on you. This lovely woman down south in Tassie has been inspiring and amusing me with her wacky observations of life as a thrifty and frugal single mum for quite some time. She has style, she is a lady, she is hard working, a great mum and Oh My Goodness is she a great writer. As Molly would say, do yourself a favour. The Milk Maid and the Boy Who Cried for the Moon. My friend Je...

sister sun: one sunny day
http://sistersun.blogspot.com/2015/06/one-sunny-day.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. On one of these brilliant sunny days, our 15 year old Dj was sure that. We needed to go fishing. He insisted that the sun would be warm, the fish would be running and some fresh air was just what was required for my constitution! And why else do we homeschool but to take advantage of beautiful days and impromptu outings? Yes, yes, lets go. For the Wee Girl, that was rolling around on the rocky slopes, picking up all sorts of dried sea vegetation on her shiny dress up pants! I wande...

Living In The Land Of Oz: Bellarine Peninsular - day trip
http://middleagedreflections.blogspot.com/2015/07/last-weekend-my-bff-and-i-escaped-for.html
Wednesday, 1 July 2015. Bellarine Peninsular - day trip. Last weekend my BFF and I escaped for a drive around the Bellarine Peninsular, only a 40 minute drive from home (about 1 1/2 hrs South West from Melbourne). I have driven past the turnoff to Portarlington many times on my way to Queenscliff and commented that i had never been there. Sunday was the day we got off the well worn route to our regular lunch spot and went somewhere different. Don't be afraid of change. Gorgeous isn't it (the view not the...

Friday, November 30, 2012. Oh my, I have been busy! As I'm sure we all are in this last month of the year! Apart from the usual daily activities, we have been busy in the garden, busy making secret gifts and busy putting up the new poly tunnel (more on that another day.but I am so excited! I'm quite pleased with how this little project turned out, although I was thinking at the time what a lot of work it was! Fairy wrote out a joke for each star and we added some. Been more organised I would have liked t...

Living In The Land Of Oz: May 2015
http://middleagedreflections.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 May 2015. Gorgeous, isn't it? With a view like this, the overcast sky didn't matter at all! We took our time driving back along the bay through Altona (quick stop for an ice cream) looking at houses, both admiring and critiquing as only those who are addicted to watching home renovation and real estate programs can do. Work is still go go go at the moment and so nothing extraordinary has happened. I would love to do some more workshops but the home projects beckon. One day, one day....I'm e...

That happens over on Lindas blog. And if you want to see what others are busy with, pop over to have a look too. We enjoyed the very last of the tomatoes, cucumbers and lovely red capsicum from the poly tunnel - the very. Our Helpxer, Ari, came back for Easter and dug up a monster harvest of potatoes too - 200kg! I feel qu...

sister sun: March 2015

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I often have our Small Elf here for extended 'visits' and as often as we have time for, we paint.* Of course, this gives me a valid reason to spend the afternoon playing with colour too and if possible, I always say YES to her request! We have since moved on to large pieces of butchers paper and an old credit card to move the paint around and just last week she came with a new idea……lets paint pinecones pretty! Her mama isn't always. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
