This Is What I'm Looking At: September 2013
http://leightongordon.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
This Is What I'm Looking At. Monday, September 2, 2013. I haven't seen a legal thriller in while, they seem to have gone out of style. Closed Circuit fits square within the genre, it doesn't change the rules of the legal thriller but delivers a solid entry to the genre. Closed circuits will not change anyone minds on the genre, but delivers all the tension, suspicion, and conspiracy that fans of the genre will enjoy. Unfortunately the forced ADR'd ending is a real bummer. Quick Thoughts about Getaway.

This Is What I'm Looking At: My 2012 in Movies, by the Numbers
http://leightongordon.blogspot.com/2012/12/my-2012-in-movies-by-numbers.html
This Is What I'm Looking At. Sunday, December 30, 2012. My 2012 in Movies, by the Numbers. 2012 was a big year for me in movies. Big in that I restarted my podcast, The Long and Late Movie Show. And eventually the lovely Shira Selkovits. First, here is a graph on which theaters I spent the most on this year:. Graph of my 2012 Spending at Theaters. My top theater this year was the AMC Orpheum 7. Because after I moved into Manhattan in March of 2012, this theater was the closest one to me. Not counting...

Redundant chicanery: What's New?: 1.6.2015
http://austintayeshus.blogspot.com/2015/01/whats-new-162015.html
The inane blabberings of an admitted music addict. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. I have had to skip a large amount of stuff that I accumulated during my off time, but rest assured, I've still got plenty to keep me busy, so here's a grab bag if ever there was one. . . John Fahey — Red Cross (2003). And the long and building suspenseful number 'Ananaias.'. Dieter Moebius and Gerb Beerbohm (1983). But more importantly with Cluster. Tears for Fears — The Seeds of Love (1989). It took these guys four years to com...

Redundant chicanery: January 2014

The inane blabberings of an admitted music addict. Thursday, January 30, 2014. On today's episode: NEW WAVE EXTRAVAGANZA! Squeeze — self-titled (1978). The Squeeze's first album is a lot more stock new wave than anything that followed. The rumour is that most of the material was written on the spot, under pressure. So, there you have it. There are some excellent pop songs throughout though: most obviously the hit ' Take Me I'm Yours. But there's also the super catchy ' Strong in Reason. And that one just...

Man Wears 5 Canada Goose Coats, Remains Trendy While Doing So | Eat Special K
https://eatingspecialk.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/man-wears-5-canada-goose-coats-remains-trendy-while-doing-so
Part of an imbalanced diet. Man Wears 5 Canada Goose Coats, Remains Trendy While Doing So. When clearing one city block, you are bound to pass at least two dudes, each of them shrunk back in their own body-swallowing. Coat on like they’re about to enter the taint of the Arctic tundra– all in the name of staying fashionable– and secretly feeling so pimp-empowered that they could just waltz onto the set of a T-Pain music video. One man who is sucked into the overwhelming. Coats and wears them all simultane...

Doomed | Eat Special K
https://eatingspecialk.wordpress.com/2010/02/25/doomdoomed
Part of an imbalanced diet. The only thing that kept me hanging on (to my sanity) was this:. And I can’t tell you what sort of absurd fuckery I had gone through that had prevented me from getting tickets until the very last minute. No wait, I can tell you because I’m not afraid to out my “want some lamesauce with that? 8221; friends…. Call of Duty 4. 8211;And what if I actually don’t like it! Not even ten minutes go by and another buddy of mine forwards me a link: Mos Def Drops Out of DOOM Show in Toronto.

The loser speech I never had to make… | Eat Special K
https://eatingspecialk.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/56
Part of an imbalanced diet. The loser speech I never had to make…. Something really fucking phenomenal happened to me last week: the Canadian editor of an insanely popular, internationally-read magazine gave me the opportunity to submit a sample piece for their website. Here’s an analogy for the layman: it was like being given the chance to audition for American Idol. And then something even more fucking phenomenal happened to me last night: the website published my piece. 8220;The following people I wan...
