Saturday, 14 August 2010. Well its been a wee while since I last put something up here. There has been a few different reasons and I'm sure you can relate to them all. Even with the best intentions we all have distractions in our life that we would rather we didn't - either we chose not to address or just simply couldn't avoid through chance. Unfortunately, for the last few weeks my life has been subject to many of these! So whats the solution? Well It's down to how committed you are to your goal, simple!

Thursday, 27 May 2010. Had an enjoyable day out and about with Da on our now regular Thursday engagements. Not necessarily the most productive day but it has certainly stoked the motivation fire some more. After a sunny and pleasant drive up to Glen Croe we were greeted by intermittent but heavy showers, bummer! We pottered about the various crags, scoping out things we plan to climb when it dries out and found ourselves soloing some of the very damp slab routes in out gutties. good clean, scary fun.

Tuesday, 1 June 2010. Went to Dumby yesterday. To try those sports routes, remember? Made an arse of it. Firstly, I went out straight from work after a pretty busy day. I hadn't eaten in about 7 hours. It was really warm and balmy. I didn't warm up. And I didn't even read the route before my attempt. I was sweating, thirsty and my arms/abs were killing me (misguided fingerboard session the night before) and I could barely make the moves I had just flashed moments before. Links to this post. Wednesday, 7 July 2010. Got back from Spain a couple of days ago after a lovely wee trip, bolt clipping in El-Chorro. Now I know some folks maybe thinking El Chorro in July, MADNESS! Agreed but the timing was due to the trip being a gift for Old Da who turns 50 this month, congrats Da, happy birthday mate.
