Just another WordPress.com weblog. The Education of a Family. On our way to Philidelphia, we stopped in Baltimore to show the boys the National Aquarium. What a wonderful visit! We stayed at the Mount Vernon Hotel. Which was very near the Inner Harbor. While the Aquarium was on the a bit pricey, the dolphin show was great. We all loved it! I was also left a little disatisfied because there was so much left undiscovered. Obviously more trips north will be needed! This was one of my favorite sites. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Life is what happens when you are making other plans. Fits and starts. The story of my life. Just after I posted about my summer reading list (I just finished the third novel in the Blue Bloods series) I had a work trip to Charleston, SC. Beautiful city, much bigger than I expected. But they had a Mellow Mushroom. And drove up Grandfather Mountain. Itself to walk across the mile high bridge. We were actually able to get the boys into kilts! I've been trying for two years now!

Monday, August 29, 2011. The House of Bartlett-Kerr was able to retain power and cable throughout the storm! Other than losing a branch from our Butterfly Bush there was no damage. Just a soggy back yard. Yesterday was so beautiful that we turned off the A/C and opened up the windows to let the last breezes of Irene cool and refresh the house. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Oopsshe did it again. Sunday afternoon Joe and I took Lulu over to my sister's house for a visit and some play time. She has an actual back yard. Lulu was having a blast running to catch the tennis ball. And then she just started limping. Favoring her right hind leg. Really? She was just 12 weeks out from her last surgey on her left leg!
