Since that was too simple and I really wanted to make pancakes from scratch, it was serendipitous that I received an email from. Featuring Gwyneth Paltrow’s father’s pancakes. Creo Oh La La. Saturday night. After a full day, I somewhat managed to find the energy to drive to San Carlos, a 40-min drive from the city, to have dinner with a friend. We started with with the taco-shimi – seared Ahi tuna with shitake salsa, wasabi sauce and tobiko in a thin fried a wonton wrapper. It was nicely molded into a boat-shaped- taco and rested on a cucumber stand. I enjoyed the sweet marinate and the woody taste of the mushrooms. Very well-balanced. Hands down the best French Silk! I started with a 6-mile-run at 6:30 in the morning and Elly dropped her daughter off to have a short play date with the little guy. After brunch, we headed to Rossi Park and met up with the Nonomuras who we haven’t seen for a while as they had gone away for a couple of weeks. The little guy was extremely excitedto see his bff.
