Alpine Walking for Oldies. This website provides some guidance for older people who would like to take a walking holiday in the Alps. It is based on the experience over twelve years of a group of people numbering between six and fourteen, and aged between 57 and 85. The groups have visited out-of-season ski resorts that now have a summer season, in the eastern Alps in Austria and Italy. Alpine Walking for Oldies. Half-board in hotels includes a standard buffet breakfast with cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, conserves, rolls and breads etc, and a four or sometimes five course dinner always starting with a salad buffet. Based on our experience of two hotels, you get a much better dinner in Italian than Austrian hotels.

Take this to the local tourist office or cable car station, and purchase (or claim) your local lift (train) and bus pass for the required period see resort pages.
