A pledge given was a physical token of a promise to be kept until the promise is fulfilled. The promise is our redemption in Christ. Also the promise of His return. Friday, May 1, 2009. He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him". Previously His love and saving grace had been told of, yet unclear; when Christ came this mystery was unveiled. His intention was our salvation, this was Christ’s’ purpose. His will was always there, from before the beginning of time. His will was for us to be redeemed from our inevitable sin. In Christ His will was finally revealed to all. God purposed Christ for this.

Through Christ we are given a share in His inheritance. We are given a place in the Fathers kingdom. Vs 5 says we were adopted. We are permanently His, the world no longer has any claim to us. After our adoption we were given an inheritance, we were chosen before the beginning of time to. Share in the kingdom; it is His purpose and His will.
