I battled my recent anxiety demons which prevented us from participating in the Olympic Torch festivities (I have some anxiety issues since losing the baby - crowds is a particular sore spot, especially WITH my kids) and we headed to downtown Vancouver to take in the sites and the excitement of having the winter Olympics so nearby. My Mom and sister (with her 2 boys) came to visit the week of my birthday and it was a great time! One evening, Graham's youth group was planning a trip to White Rock beach (one of my favorite places! And I discovered that in the 25 years my mom lived in the Lower Mainland, she NEVER went to White Rock beach! Ya, it's FULL of the best.
