http://swarasthaanam.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

A genre that I truly connect with, well, atleast more often than not— the bluesy, sad numbers……. Dimple’s brilliant portrayal in this movie. Bagged her a national award. Thank...

Nourish-n-Cherish: Vazhga Tamizh!
http://nourish-n-cherish.blogspot.com/2009/05/vazhga-tamizh.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2009. The week-end was spent in California Tamil Academy. Sat was graduation day - completion of a school year. California Tamil Academy. Is an amazing organization - run entirely by volunteers, they teach Tamil to over 3000 children in Bay Area. I really like the setup and the dedication. It gives a sense of belonging in more ways than one. People felt at home - at times, they behaved just as badly as they would in a political rally in India without the lathi-armed police. I have only one question to the fine folks behind all this suffering. Why this kolaveri? I mean, is it too much to ask if I want to come back from a long day at the office, plop onto the couch and let the idiot box take me away to a place that is joyful? Why is it that there is not a single soap in India that has happiness/joy/comedy as its main agenda? Herione wistfull...
