So, when you ask your 5-year-old princess what dessert she'd like to take to Abuela's house for Sunday dinner, be prepared for a LOT of work. ;D This tart recipe is from my old standby "Better Homes and Gardens" Cookbook, and while it really was kind of a lot of work, it was also delicious. (One note on the syrup: I don't know what's traditional, obviously, but I would recommend halving the syrup portion of the recipe. Friday, October 26, 2012. That I don't love Halloween. But I have had at least one great Halloween experience this year. Drew and I got together with some of his friends for a night of pumpkin carving! They take their pumpkin carving very seriously. Very. Seriously. I was a little out of my league. :). Thankfully they had a book with patterns for some cool carvings. I chose my favorite (even though it was 3/4 difficulty and some people - drew! Probably the best pumpkin I've ever carved! Sunday, March 29, 2009. Mt Pelee was very explosive when it was active but now it is a dormant volcano. The lava type is unknown. Some of the hazards that happen when Mt. Pelee erupts are pyroclastic flows, Lahars which are mud flows, lava flows, debris. ash clouds and tons of ash falling from the volcano, and lava dome extrusions. Some Mt. Pelees neighboring Volcanoes are: Saint Vincents, La Soufriere, Guadeloupes, Montserrats Soufriere hills, and the submarine Volcano Kick-em Jenny, and many more.
