There are a number of Doctor's. Surgeries in and around Stroud. The closest to Amberley is Minchinhampton Surgery. At Bell Lane, Minchinhampton. When the surgery is closed, your call will be automatically transferred. The out of hours service operates from a dedicated facility at Stroud General Hospital. Patients needing emergency treatment, will be asked to attend the Centre, unless too ill to travel. Telephone advice from the duty doctor may also be obtained. There are also many Dentists.

Find out about booking the Parish Room. This excellent facility is available for hire. It is used extensively for fund raising events such as fetes and dances, for wedding receptions and as a base for Brownie Pack holidays. Have you thought about hiring it for your event or meeting? The Parish Rooms are run by the Management Committee as a resource for the community of Amberley but they are also available for hire to others. There is space for eight cars in the grounds and adequate road parking nearby.

In the 1840s, Rev Blackwell, the first Rector of Amberley, became a keen photographer and photographed many people around Amberley. The albums are now safely stored in Gloucestershire Record Office but all the images were all copied and the content is here for all to see. Currently, all the albums may be browsed. We sing as we light the candle, then listen to news and celebrate birthdays. We have a Bible story and a prayer, followed by an action hymn together. The first is a said Eucharist which is normally Common Worship except on the 4th Sunday when it is 1662. The 10.00 am service is a sung Common Worship eucharist except on the 2nd Sunday when the service usually takes a different (but still eucharistic) form.
