Looking For Eric (2009). My Name is Joe (1998) →. Looks and Smiles (1981). October 16, 2010. This early, black and white Ken Loach film was really good. A low budget movie with a documentary feel that follows the story of Mick Walsh who has finished school but is having trouble getting a job in 1980’s England. His friend signs on in the army and is stationed in Northern Ireland, but Mick’s father doesn’t want him to join. Ken Loach likes to get some soccer into his movies. And tagged ken loach movie.

The Children Are Watching Us (1948) | Vittorio De Sica

https://desica.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/the-children-are-watching-us-1948

The Movies of Vittorio De Sica. The Children Are Watching Us (1948). The Children Are Watching Us (1948). July 31, 2010. Little Prico really is watching what is going on. He sees his mother, Nina, as she talks to her lover at the park. When Nina leaves her husband is devastated and Prico soon finds out. People talk in front of Prico like he’s not there, but he knows. As the adults battle, he is the one that suffers. A very sad, very good neo-realistic film from Vittorio De Sica. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

February 6, 2010. The movie opens with a great scene of a lady teacher who really wants the boys in her class to learn a poem, but the boys can really care less. There are some great classroom scenes where Truffaut really captures what it is like to be a child. In one a boy anxiously waits for the clock to signal the end of the school day so he won’t have to answer a question. The boy who wouldn’t kiss the girls falls for one of his friends mother and buys her roses. In the last scenes we find out that t...
