Crafts and design by ktl. Oh Pinterest. So many ideas, so many ways to “create”. June 13, 2012. I’ll admit it. I’m a Pinterest addict. The upside is that it saves me from cutting out all the cute, neat, and random things I find for inspiration or all those craft things the I just KNOW I’m going to do… about never. Last week I was in the mood to try something with nail polish. I remember doing this a long time ago where you paint one color and then use tape or stickers to paint another color. This however...

Crafts and design by ktl. One YEAR in the making. February 13, 2013. Ok So I didn’t knit on these constantly for a year, and I ended up with 4 socks instead of 2. *shrug* It’s a learning process. Finished: December 2012 for Christmas gifts. The rest of the story: *sigh* Well first Beau wanted to “help” and unwound my yarn. I’m just glad he didn’t chew through any of it. When making socks… | crafts & design by ktl
https://designbyktl.wordpress.com/2012/05/13/when-making-socks-7
Crafts and design by ktl. When making socks…. May 13, 2012. 8230; just keep going! This is the advice I have. The gray socks I’m working on now are the second pair I’ve made. I made my mom a pair for Christmas last year. Both times I’ve come across the same problem – I get done with one, get excited, then a bit depressed when I realize I’m only half done. So my advice to the beginning sock maker: Just keep going! And as these are a present, I won’t say any more. :0). Filed under Ames C.art. Enter your em...

Left hand crochet- my first attmept | crafts & design by ktl
https://designbyktl.wordpress.com/2012/02/26/left-hand-crochet-my-first-attmept
Crafts and design by ktl. Left hand crochet- my first attmept. February 26, 2012. Which has lead me to a theory. Learning to crochet was easier when I was younger. The first few rows. we'll forget the ones I pulled out. I was working on fine motor skills in general. I didn’t already “know” how to do it with my right hand. I’m guessing that about oh 18 years ago I wasn’t as dependent on my right hand as I am now. Lefty’s- I have a new appreciation for your world. I “only”. I’ve got a long way to go ...
