Amherst State Park Fishing. The next section starts at the steel bridge near the old Orchard and extends to the Park Country Club Golf Course. Some fast riffles along with some slow moving deeper pockets are in this part of the creek. It is very woodsy and secluded. Park in the St. Mary’s parking lot and hike approximately mile thru the old Orchard to the bridge. (See B on Map).

First shoot at 10am every Sunday morning (exceptions for holidays)through spring at the Amherst Sportsman Club located at 47980 Cooper-Foster Park Road 440-984-3456. The Amherst Striders running group is a fun group of runners consisting of all levels and abilities. The runners in our group range from those starting to run for the first time up to some hardcore runners who run further then most people drive in a day. Most runners run at different paces and various distances, however No one gets left behind! When you run with Striders, quicker runners always loop back to keep everyone together.
