Friday, February 15, 2008. Today we accidentally visited a new restaurant in Koregaon Park called Post-91. Accidentally because we turned a wrong lane for the one we planned to go to. But since Post-91 beckoned, we went in. As I went in I was intrigued by the name Post-91. Why would someone name a restaurant like that? Has it got to do something with 9/11? I just opened the drop down list and selected one at random. It turned out to be Pearl Before Swine. It takes on politics, current affairs, fashion, trends through its animal characters: Rat, pig, zebra (zeeba! The crocs, guard duck and many more! Lawyer turned cartoonist Stephen Pastis. Monday, June 23, 2008. I was taught Suryanamaskars when I was a kid. I never liked it. I was told that doing it regularly is beneficial in the long term, but I never understood what long term is. But I did start practicing it (6 reps each day) since around 3-4 years back and have now appreciated its significance. No joint/back/neck pain whatsoever. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. When I was reading Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park. I first got to know of the existence of the concept of chaos theory. Of course it was through the character of Ian Malcom (played by Jeff Goldblum. In the movie). The theory got more coverage in its sequel novel The Lost World. Another related jargon is the "Butterfly Effect" which effectively summarises what or how a chaotic system is: Imagine a butterfly flapping its wings happily on a summer day! Wow, that's something!
