Renaissance Woman: January 2009
http://ginmiller.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2009. The film and especially the book, are haunting me. I've been awake into the night unable to put the book down. Richard Yates. Is a writer with a direct voice that penetrates bulls- t. The concept of the story could sound " done. Yet he expresses it as fresh and unique. A tragic, depressing ending to be sure, but that's not what I come away with. To stay awake and alive requires constant. Doing it. Not necessarily meaning the dramatized ending, but the cost to our souls....

Renaissance Woman: June 2011
http://ginmiller.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 03, 2011. For Desire - by Kim Addonizio. Give me the strongest cheese, the one that stinks best;. And I want the good wine, the swirl in crystal. Surrendering the bruised scent of blackberries,. Or cherries, the rich spurt in the back. Of the throat, the holding it there before swallowing. Give me the lover who yanks open the door. Of his house and presses me to the wall. In the dim hallway, and keeps met here until I'm drenched. And shaking, whose kisses arrive by the boatload. Subscribe to...

Renaissance Woman: Altars in the World - Barbara Brown Taylor
http://ginmiller.blogspot.com/2009/06/altars-in-world-barbara-brown-taylor.html
Tuesday, June 02, 2009. Altars in the World - Barbara Brown Taylor. We receive enlightenment only in promotion as we give ourselves more and more completely to God by humble submission and love. We do not first see, then act: we act, then see. And that is why the man who waits to see clearly, before he will believe, never starts on the journey." - Thomas Merton. What if a lost soul strikes God as more reachable than a lifelong believer? P 44-45 "'Do this,' he said - not believe. To think about how man y ...

Moments of a lifetime: October 2007
http://theskyandtheocean.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Moments of a lifetime. Inspired to breathe again. Sunday, 14 October 2007. Someone, somewhere else, is smiling, moving, weeping. I can't believe there is a "this very moment" anywhere but in this very moment. Wednesday, 3 October 2007. Depressing choice of heading? I know no other purpose to life, be it in the giving, or the recieving of love, no greater power on this earth. But where is it? I can't see it anywhere around me. Why? What is wrong with this world? Moments of a lifetime: April 2007
http://theskyandtheocean.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Moments of a lifetime. Inspired to breathe again. Tuesday, 10 April 2007. Allow me to be random. I have been sitting here with a big cup of tea and a pensive mind. Pursuing deep and heavy trains of thought. Damien Rice doesn't help. The cows on my mug are in love. In a context of finality, is the saddest word I have ever heard. I think we as humans are stronger. Than we give ourselves credit for. We keep on surviving, through everything, though it feels. Do you come together ever with him? To take you on?

Moments of a lifetime: January 2011
http://theskyandtheocean.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Moments of a lifetime. Inspired to breathe again. Wednesday, 12 January 2011. When life seems slow and hopeless. I have discovered a dream. Well, when I say discovered, I don't really mean that. I mean I have finally given something room to breathe. The seed of a dream that has always been inside of me - squashed, ignored, sometimes forgotten, but always present. It is breathing now. Alive But at what cost? To give life to such a thing opens one up. To the beauty and perfect happiness of attainment.
