Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Sometimes I really hate the TV. I hate that I depend on it for entertainment purposes. Like right now. I am bored out of my mind but I really don't want to turn it on and have ANOTHER night of doing nothing except watching TV. Ugh, that's so lame. And truthfully this gets old too! Go on a bike ride or a walk. Then cook, then do either A or B mentioned above. I need something different to do! I want to play chess or scrabble! I want to go to a comedy show and laugh my ass off!

Thursday, July 30, 2009. The Lost Art of bagging groceries. I really do believe that bagging groceries should be common sense, but apparently it is not. Therefore, I have listed my technique/preference that I would LOVE to pass onto the baggers of today:. 1) Build up the side walls of the plastic or paper bag with boxes. 2) Then put canned goods between the boxes. 3) Then place your filler items on top of the canned goods (flour, sugar, etc.). Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Well, the wedding plans are coming along.slowly but surely :) Derek and I have set a date for June 12, 2010 at Red Rocks Country Club! What a relief it was to get that part out of the way. I was getting worried there for awhile that we would never find a suitable location that met all of our criteria. Luckily, a friend of ours introduced us to this venue and we knew right away that it was THE ONE! I'll keep ya posted. August 26, 2009 at 1:45 PM. Im glad you found a venue!

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. ANDyou get to pick the color that you want the product to be - so fun! We had a great time in the store and came out with some awesome home-made products! The salt scrub is AMAZING and leaves your skin sooo soft! The lotion is GREAT for people such as myself with really dry cracked hands. and as for the massage oil.well, I haven't used that one yet but I'm sure it's going to be just fine ;). I would highly recommend this store for both men and women to enjoy! Good 'ol Grand Rapids.

Sunday, December 4, 2011. The last few years we have had Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's house with many other people. We have enjoyed these visits for the friendship, laughter, and good food. But this year Hailey asked that we stay at home for the holiday. She missed our traditional dinner and our family time together. After dinner we bundled up and grabbed our sleds to go burn off some calories. Walking up this hill takes a lot of effort but Nate didn't mind it all. He went repeatedly.

Monday, April 16, 2012. Nate's big sister came to be with him on his special day. We appreciated the opportunity to spend time with her and recognize the sacrifice of leaving her own family for a few days to do it. The baptism was a wonderful experience. The water was freezing and each child gasped as they stepped into the font. But there was a sweet spirit felt throughout the service that more than warmed them after their baptism.
