The odd thought, comment or picture that it occurs to me to share…. This blog is a pretty random affair. For now, I am documenting a trip we are taking to Nepal. Later, who knows? A random photo or comment, a bit of news, whatever seems to be of interest. It is intended for family and friends and so comments are welcomed! Odds are good that it will only be updated sporadically – when something is happening that might be of interest to those I care about most. I’d love to hear your thoughts as well!

What was supposed to be a 30 minute flight over a mountain turned into an 11 hour bone shaker to cover less than 200 Kilometres. This is the stove for cooking – it is heated with dried yak dung which you can see in a pan beside it. Buried under the dung was this tiny kitten – sleeping there last night to keep warm. One last day here so we have decided to visit Swayambhunath – the Monkey Temple- in Kathmandu and some markets in Delhi. You can see why it is called the monkey temple! I love Budda’s eyes on the Stupa. This Bhudda is probably 15 or 20 feet tall. The site is high on a hilltop, giving a beautiful view of Kathmandu. Look at the colours of the buildings!
