Aardvark Racing: It's yon time again...
http://aardvarkracing.blogspot.com/2010/08/its-yon-time-again.html
Thursday, 19 August 2010. It's yon time again. Manx GP 2010. Signing on starts tomorrow at 1. I'm only playing with the Kawasaki this year, I'm number 54 in the Junior (white numbers on blue plates) and Senior (black numbers on yellow plates. The cut off year for the post classic has changed, so had I entered the poor old Jota it would be up against a mob of '87 GSXR750's. A tell order even for The Mighty Jota, the Beast of Breganze! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Aardvark Racing: August 2009
http://aardvarkracing.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 August 2009. Racing rained off today; the announcement was at 7am by the organisers. Again, the right call, it absolutely hosed down all day. So we went to Slick's to play on the dyno; we got the Jota's power curve nicely smoothed out. Top end is a rampaging 82 bhp! Here's an MGP's worth of tyres! The Jota's final power curve! The Mighty Jota on the dyno. Links to this post. Sunday, 30 August 2009. Just a check over and a polish today and then tomorrow. we race! Links to this post. It was pret...

Dowse Road and Greeba Mill Road
http://www.pixbyme.com/dowsegreeba.html
Dowse Road and Greeba Mill Road. Well, a nice day with nothing else to do, so I set out just after lunch to find and have a go at the Kerrow Glass greenway. This starts from Greeba Bridge and meets the road again at Ballig Bridge on the TT course. Start of the minor road leading up to the greenway. The road gets pretty narrow - you can see why it's unclassified. Start of the greenway. The track's getting pretty rocky, but I can cope with this. The remains of the track was like this. Got a nice scratch in...

Aardvark Racing: August 2007
http://aardvarkracing.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 August 2007. Senior (non-) race day. Feh This is the 750, in the parc ferme. And this is as far as it got. Weather was rubbish, the 400cc lads came in from the day's first (and only as it turned out) race with lurid tales of big skids over the white lines at places like Guthrie's and the 27th. We waited a while but the organisers decided to cancel the Senior. It was the only call to make I have to say, the conditions really were vile, but I am so, so frustrated. Links to this post. Blog 2005 - Bill Callister Racing

The best meeting at the start of the season was with the Andreas Club at Jurby. This saw my best and most consistent results to date. 2 nd, 3 rd and numerous top 5's made for a very enjoyable meeting. Once a National rider came my first bad accident. A silly little spill at 30 mph broke my collarbone in 2 places. Lucky me! So from 1 st May my racing stopped, till I was better and ready for the Manx. So what of next year? Anglesey - 10th and 11th September 2005. The Biggest disappointment on the 600 was I...
