Sketch Book →. July 11, 2011. The Flying Dutchmen, being located on the cliffs of the Oregon coast, does not have the space or the proper conditions to grow grapes adjacent to the winery like many traditional wineries. Richard Cutler, owner and wine maker, gets his grapes from four local vineyards located in the western portion of the state. Below is a graphic showing the four vineyards and their proximity to the flying Dutchmen. Graduate student at Montana State University. Sketch Book →.

Site Plan Re-Work and Winery Design. Overnight Progression →. July 25, 2011. Over the weekend I progressed enough to insert my winery design into Revit. I reworked the entry so that in plan and perspective it wasn’t an awkward space. I have posted images of the two level plans as well as a front entry and rear view of the overall building. Ru(m)inations: The Haunts of Contemporary Architecture. John McMorrough. June 29, 2011. Had midterm reviews Monday morning. We were the lead off group, which I usually try to avoid, but I thought it went pretty well and we got some good feedback. There were a number of questions about general process and our research. What are your objectives initially? How do you set the parameters at the beginning to better define how the solution comes together? Is it even feasible? View all posts by chaslang4d →.

The Framework for Our Society | Alesha Quam
https://quam16.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/the-framework-for-our-society
The Framework for Our Society. November 15, 2011. We [as architects] promote social change, we act in our own historical time, while at the same time linking past, present, and future in our attempts to create a better world (Loeb 316). Now is the galvanizing moment in which, clearly, we have to make a change (Mau). It is up to architects to face the question, how do we embrace the world without being consumed by it? Photographer of weddings and people around Birmingham and the Midlands. Photographing a new life is a privilege. Yet another week has flown by again, the weekend has pretty much been and gone, and I find myself here on a Sunday night wondering how I totally failed to get a mid-week blog typed up yet again. So what has been taking up all my time? Olivia loved going on the rides, although she was still too small for the majority of them, but she was certainly all about the cars this weekend!
