One Day at a Time ...: Sewing For Fun!
http://olindaruth.blogspot.com/2013/01/sewing-for-fun.html
Saturday, January 26, 2013. I made a second bag at the same time to keep at Grandma's house! I think these would be great for the car or church time or waiting rooms. I enlisted Lucas to harvest the pellets from the Beanie Babies, but Naomi couldn't bear to see the empty "bodies" discarded, so she was rescuing them and re-stuffing them with batting and sewing them shut. So she has a whole new menagerie of animals after this project! January 27, 2013 at 10:25 AM. What a wonderful project my friend! The pa...

One Day at a Time ...: June 2014
http://olindaruth.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 27, 2014. I wish I had taken some "before" photos, but the best I could do was find a couple from 2 and more years ago (when Mr. O and Mr. B were newborns) that give some idea of the condition of the benches. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Catching Up On Life. Sometimes life gets so busy just "living" it, that there's not much time for "recording" it. Such has been the last two months for all of us. Below are some photos that will bring my blog a little bit up-to-date! Flowers from the yard.

One Day at a Time ...: April 2014
http://olindaruth.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 13, 2014. Yesterday we were blessed to have some of our family here to help finish a few projects outdoors. Crandon brought his chain saw and finished taking down our elm tree and sawed all the logs into burn lengths for next winter. We rented a chipper and mulched all the smaller branches into mulch that will be useful several places on the property. Also the gutters got cleaned out and the dryer (almost) repaired. We finished with a shared meal. Great day! Monday, April 7, 2014. I'm Olind...

One Day at a Time ...: August 2014
http://olindaruth.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Yesterday my Uncle Henry moved on from his earthly home to his eternal one. In the past 3 years, much of his body and mind had already failed him, leaving him all the more eager for his heavenly home. The only sadness I can feel is in knowing that it is the end of an earthly relationship and the conclusion of a long, well lived life. When I think of Uncle Henry a few memorable things come to mind. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Day at the County Fair. Last week we spent an aftern...

Life Blessings: For the Love of Fabric
http://nananors.blogspot.com/2015/08/for-love-of-fabric.html
For I know the plans that I have for you,'declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. For the Love of Fabric. Happy Wednesday to you! The two books I was looking for were not available, so I ended up with Eleanor Burns book. I would still like the other book that I was really searching for, but think I've spent enough money on fabric. Love you so much. I hope your day is filled with blessings and love! Ive never qu...

Monday, May 4, 2015. A few photos of what we've been up to lately. This doll outfit was a sewing project Naomi did as a birthday gift for her niece. A trip we made last week, ultimately for Lucas to take his driver's permit exam, but that included a stop at Lake Sonoma and a visit to the fish hatchery. Lunch time in the shade (it was 90 degrees)! A bunny breakfast pancake that Naomi made me as an early "Mother's Day" breakfast. Lucas with some friends at our Touche year end BBQ and swim party. 8220;Mom, ...

Monday, April 20, 2015. Back to My "Real" Job. When I had the opportunity this year to put my tax course into practice and do some part time seasonal work for H and R Block, Naomi commented, "Wow, Mom has a real job"! I gently corrected her, telling her that my "real" job is what I've been doing the past 38 years - managing our household, educating our kids and helping Bob with his business! As for next tax season. we'll see! Monday, April 13, 2015. Tuesday, April 7, 2015. The Gift of Family. We had eggs...

http://olindaruth.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 12, 2014. Fortunately we did have a few very helpful people along the way. The first evening was a family BBQ, this is the only photo which doesn't show much of the family, but everyone was there, all 20 of us! Sunday lunch at Carrows. Picnicking in the redwoods. Hugs from great grandma and great grandpa. Meeting the newest great garndbaby, just 3 weeks old! Puzzles with Aunt Mildred. Playing "peek" in the back yard. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). One Day at a Time ...: November 2014

Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Gratitude turns what we have into enough". Today we express gratitude for God's many blessings and abundance to us throughout this year. Tuesday, November 11, 2014. In Canada it is Remembrance Day. In the United States it is Veterans Day, and lesser known, it is also Mayflower Compact Day. In our household it is Naomi's birthday. All of these events hold their own significance. And last, but definitely not least, on November 11 we celebrate the blessing of Naomi to our famil...
