We had actually been introduced unknowingly to Wiscasset, which is a town Route 1 goes directly through, when we hit a heavy, standstill traffic on our drive to Boothbay. We learned this was in large part due to Red’s Eats. We stopped in a few shops, looked at some art we can’t afford and bought some stationary at a cute home store, before heading to one of the local sites: Castle Tucker. August 23, 2015.

Often we only see the cities. This trip, we have traveling along the “highways” between smaller cities, and even stopped in a few (see failed attempts to visit fortified churches).
