Annette's Textile Tales

Monday, 10 November 2014. I've been away from here for what seems like forever. These have been difficult times for me but I'm back and looking forward,. The sun is shining and the creative juices are flowing! So here goes . While I've been absent I've been thinking about some new downloadable workshops to add to my Fairy Shoes patterns. I'm working on some embellished panels featuring birds, a new Bookwraps tutorial and a stitched stories book. Here's the back cover of my book "The lonely Princess'.

Annette's Textile Tales: Fairy shoes and Book wraps.

http://annettestextiletales.blogspot.com/2014/04/fairy-shoes-and-book-wraps.html

Thursday, 10 April 2014. Fairy shoes and Book wraps. Last week I went to the Embroiderers Guild AGM in Cambridgeshire. One of the group who took my workshop, the lovely Gina Ferrari. Sent me this picture of the little Fairy Shoes she made. I enjoyed my time at Wyboston Lakes, good food, comfy room and the chance to meet and chat with fellow guild members. The world outside looks so different now, clear skies and clean air! Linda entered one of the Bookwraps she had made into a competition and she won!

Friday, 28 September 2012. Plas Tan y Bwlch Textile Weekend. I'm such a lucky girl! Although the weather has not been brilliant this summer, I've been having such a wonderful time. I was invited to teach at Plas Tan y Bwlch, the Snowdonia National Park study centre, for their recent Textile Weekend. Breathtakingly beautiful scenery, delicious food and lovely students. . .what more could I ask for? We were making my 'Hidden Treasure' books over a fun filled, action packed weekend! The results were stunning.

Wednesday, 24 October 2012. Peacocks and Tigers and other adventures. Hello . What's going on here? Ah yes, I thought as much. . . It's a sheep, er, a tiger? This definitely needs investigating. As you can see we had a lovely day at the National Trusts Newark Park. My legs have almost recovered from all the walking, the scenery was stunning. My legs have really been working hard lately and here's why. May I introduce Victoria? That was so nice, thank you Felicia. Amazing, don't you agree? All the content...

ominnimo: August 2011

http://ominnimo.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, 21 August 2011. From my new bird designs. You can see the full picture of a few of them on my other blog. They are little collages that are a mixture of paper and fabric finished off with some free machine embroidery. I love scribbling with the machine. I had great fun making them and will be making lots more in the near future. They are a great way to use up all my tiny snips of fabric and lace. It's a bit worrying as I'm now keeping the teeny, tiniest wee bits of fabric.help! That's all for now.
