Exploring in the (Nearby) Backyard | A Nomad's Journal

https://anomadsjournal.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/exploring-in-the-nearby-backyard

A Nomad's Journal. Living Life Frame by Frame. Where I’ve Been. Exploring in the (Nearby) Backyard. My travels have taken me far and wide, across continents and across the globe, but I think I have the tendency to forget that there are places in my own country, my own backyard to be explored. I recently had the privilege of accompanying a close friend and her family to her maternal grandparents home in Vermont, a place I had heard about often, but a state I had never stepped foot in. The Land of Kings and Colonels | A Nomad's Journal

https://anomadsjournal.wordpress.com/2012/10/13/the-land-of-kings-and-colonels

A Nomad's Journal. Living Life Frame by Frame. Where I’ve Been. The Land of Kings and Colonels. Calmer chaos would be how I would describe Rajasthan. After Mumbai, everything seems calm. I guess it seems more like ‘real’ India, but then again, Mumbai is considered the most cosmopolitan city in India. This entry was published on October 13, 2012 at 10:24 am. It’s filed under India. Where I’ve Been | A Nomad's Journal

https://anomadsjournal.wordpress.com/where-ive-been

A Nomad's Journal. Living Life Frame by Frame. Where I’ve Been. Where I’ve Been. I try not to think of traveling in terms of checking names off a list, but sometimes it does astound me how much of the world it sometimes feels like I’ve seen. But then I look at a map like this and realize just how big the world is. There are so many places left to explore, and hopefully enough time to explore them. Johannesburg, Cape Town, Langa, Stellenbosch. Kampala, Masaka, Ddegeya. Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Pulau Besar.

A Forest Through the Fog | A Nomad's Journal

https://anomadsjournal.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/a-forest-through-the-fog

A Nomad's Journal. Living Life Frame by Frame. Where I’ve Been. A Forest Through the Fog. A weekend adventure led to Paranapiacaba, an old train outpost that is enveloped in a thick white fog on most days. Behind the thick curtain lie train carcasses and a small village split by train tracks and British and Portuguese influence. Even so, the passenger train doesn’t quite reach Paranapiacaba, and the hikers and mountain bikers arrive en masse by bus. Follow any comments here with the RSS feed for this post.

Bangkok (or Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, as some call it) | A Nomad's Journal

https://anomadsjournal.wordpress.com/2015/03/11/bangkok

A Nomad's Journal. Living Life Frame by Frame. Where I’ve Been. Bangkok (or Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, as some call it). Bangkok ended up being a weekend trip from Singapore, but it was wonderful to see the city years (8! After first meeting my Thai friends while in the Czech Republic. I got to reunite with a friend of mine who acted as a tour guide for part of the day, before heading to a wonderful cafe that I never would have expected in Bangkok. A Little Update…What’s going on in the Life of Ana right now? | a little adrift jr.

A little adrift jr. TALES FROM A TRAVELING TEEN. A Little Update…What’s going on in the Life of Ana right now? November 21, 2012. I’ve been home for more than six months now and I don’t feel how I expected to feel. When I first went to Asia, all I could think about was going home. Food I ate, the extremely nice friends I made, and all the places I have been, and the experiences I have been through. Me doing cartwheels at the beach while the sun is setting. 8221;, which pretty much means Westerner. I ...

One woman's life as a fulltime RV'er. A Day at Land’s End. Not Quite What I’d Expected. It’s Taking A Little Get Used To…. Angie @Angela's Anxious Life. I guess it’s all about managing expectations. For instance, now that I don’t have a job to go to anymore, I fully expected to do most of the cooking and cleaning and bookkeeping but I didn’t expect to be charging the 12 volt and changing the propane and emptying the poop tank!
